Most less-lethal weapons are export controlled through the Commerce Control List (CCL) administered by the Department of Commerce and can be shipped to private and governmental customers.
TXMGO is registered with the Bureau of Industry Security (BIS) as an exporter and can facilitate the export of CCL-controlled less-lethal weapons.
Examples of less-lethal weapons which can be exported under BIS regulations are:
Generally the only less-lethal items which are controlled by State Department under ITAR, are 40mm less-lethal launchers and ammunition.
Though a 40mm less-lethal launcher may be intended for a less-lethal application, it is still able to chamber and fire 40x46mm rounds, and is thus classified as a "Grenade Launcher" on the USML.
Though most ammunition is now controlled under the CCL, some particular types of ammunition remain controlled as Defense Articles under ITAR.
TXMGO can secure licensing through State Department for the export of those types of 40mm less-lethal launchers and ammunition, they will only be approved for governmental end-users.
International shipping of large-caliber and pyrotechnic weapons is very complex and can be extremely expensive.
If the customer is governmental, we recommend transporting the items with that country's tactical or strategic airlift assets, as opposed to trying to transport it commercially. If the country has the airlift assets, this can usually be coordinated through that country's embassy's air attache.
